PETROLEUM REFINING
Here is a recent survey of the prices of gasoline around the world (petrol=gasoline; 1
litre = 0.26 gallons).
("The Economist", June 17, 1995, p. 104.)
Gasoline for automobiles is the most important product coming out of an oil refinery,
but it's not the only one. (Remember that, when J. D. Rockefeller started Standard Oil
in 1860's, kerosene was the main product, and it was used as an illuminant.)
