Los Billboard Music Awards 2016, en vivo por TNT
Llega el evento que premia a los artistas más populares y exitosos del mundo de la música. En vivo desde Las Vegas, y en el marco de la Temporada de Premios de TNT, Billboard Music Awards te trae una noche increíble con momentos memorables y con impactantes actuaciones de las estrellas musicales más relevantes. El domingo 22 de mayo a 8:00 p.m. También disponible a través de TNT GO (tntgo.tv) en live streaming y catch up.
Además, TNT ofrecerá una repetición el lunes 23 a las 12.30 p.m. Feed TNT HD: 12.20 a.m.
Ya fueron confirmadas las presencias de varios artistas sobre el escenario de los Billboard Music Awards®. Justin Bieber brindará un medley de su nuevo single “Company” y de su hit “Sorry”, ambos de su álbum Purpose. Nick Jonas y Tove Lo se unirán para la canción “Close”, en tanto que Demi Lovato presentará su tema “Cool For The Summer”.
Por su parte, Britney Spears deleitará a sus fans con un medley de sus mejores éxitos. Además, recibirá el Millennium Award, un premio que ya le fuera otorgado a, por ejemplo, Beyoncé y Whitney Houston, y que distingue a aquellos artistas que sobresalen por sus logros artísticos y por su influencia en la industria de la música.
DNCE, The Go-Go’s y Shawn Mendes, otros de los confirmados. Además, se podrá disfrutar del debut mundial en TV del nuevo single de P!nk, titulado “Just Like Fire”. Esta canción es parte de la banda de sonido de la película Alice Through the Looking Glass, de inminente estreno en las carteleras.
La conducción estará a cargo del actor y rapero Ludacris (@Ludacris), junto a la cantante, bailarina, actriz y modelo Ciara (@ciara). La transmisión de TNT contará con los comentarios de Rafa Sarmiento (@rafalitosarmi) e Ileana Rodríguez Govela (@reclu) y con la acostumbrada traducción simultánea al castellano. Para quienes deseen seguir las alternativas del evento en idioma original, se ofrecerá la opción de audio SAP.
Este prestigioso evento está organizado sobre tres ejes: los Artists Awards, los Album Awards, y los Song Awards. En el día de hoy se dieron a conocer las nominaciones. Encabezan la lista de nominados The Weeknd (16 postulaciones, incluyendo Top Artist, Top Male Artist y Top Hot 100 Artist), Justin Bieber (11), Fetty Wap (10), Drake (10), Adele (8), Taylor Swift (8), Wiz Khalifa (6) y Charlie Puth (6). Muchos de estos artistas se darán cita sobre el escenario en la velada del 22 de mayo.
La música de nuestro continente también tendrá su lugar en los Billboard Music Awards®, en categorías específicas. En el apartado de Top Latin Artist, aparecen Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga, Juan Gabriel, Nicky Jam, Ariel Camacho y los Plebes del Rancho y Romeo Santos; mientras que en el rubro Top Latin Album se lucen Juan Gabriel con los álbumes Los Dúos y Mis número 1… 40° Aniversario, Maná con Cama incendiada, Gerardo Ortíz con Hoy más fuerte y Romeo Santos con Fórmula – Vol. 2. Finalmente, en la categoría Top Latin Song compiten J Balvin con “Ginza”, Ariel Camacho y los Plebes del Rancho con “Te metiste”, Nicky Jam junto a Enrique Iglesias con “El perdón”, Maluma con “Borro cassette” y Romeo Santos con “Propuesta indecente”.
Los finalistas se seleccionan en base a la interacción de los fans con la música. Esto incluye la venta de álbumes y sencillos, transmisiones por radio, giras y la interacción en diversas plataformas de música y en redes sociales. Billboard mide estos datos durante todo el año.
Los Billboard Music Awards son reconocidos por pertenecer a la más prestigiosa y antigua publicación dentro de la industria musical.
