International Distress Call

Venezuela needs all the help possible. A natural disaster -one without precedent-, added to the authorities' lack of emergency preparedness, has caused more than thirty thousand (30,000) deaths and left more than two hundred thousand (200,000) persons without their homes and belongings. These 200,000 victims are in urgent need of medicines and of all what is needed to prevent an epidemic, food, drinking water and anything useful under the circumstances. At a later stage assistance will be needed to rebuild homes, bridges, roads, dams, etc. The most affected areas are the state of Vargas, the state of Miranda. The Federal District (Caracas), the state of Falcón, the state of Táchira, the state of Yaracuy, the state of Zulia. We have a most serious situation. Venezuela has been partially destroyed.
