El australiano Michael Matthews (Orica) ganó la 10ª etapa del Tour de Francia, este martes al imponerse en el esprint de Revel que se disputaron los siete ciclistas escapados, en una jornada en la que el británico Chris Froome conservó el maillot de líder.
En una etapa atípica, que comenzó con la ascensión al Port d’Envalira, el más alto (2.408 metros) y largo (22,6 km al 5,5%) de la actual edición del Tour, el gran protagonista fue el campeón mundial Peter Sagan, incansable con su ciclismo de ataque desde los primeros metros, que se tuvo que conformar con recuperar el maillot verde de la regularidad, al verse superado en el esprint final.
La décima etapa del Tour de Francia no causó variantes entre los primeros diez ciclistas.
