«All Quiet On The Western Front» lidera nominaciones en los BAFTA 2023
La película alemana All Quiet On The Western Front (Sin novedad en el frente) se convirtió en el filme en lengua extranjera con mayor número de nominaciones a los premios de cine BAFTA en la historia de la Academia británica y encabezó la lista de candidaturas con 14.
La cinta, una adaptación de la novela de 1929 sobre la I Guerra Mundial, opta a 14 galardones -que se desvelarán en una ceremonia el próximo día 19 de febrero-, entre ellos a mejor director, mejor actor de reparto, mejor guion adaptado, mejor película en lengua no inglesa y mejor película.
«Impacto positivo en la diversidad»
Anna Higgs, presidenta del comité de cine de BAFTA, que es «alentador ver que el trabajo continuo para la igualdad continúa teniendo un impacto positivo en la diversidad y el talento y de los títulos nominados hoy».
«Me complace ver una lista llena de solo mujeres en la categoría de (mejor) debut de un guionista, director o productor británico -con Charlotte Wells, Georgia Oakley, Marie Lidén, Katy Brand y Maia Kenworthy-, así como tantos nominados por primera vez», dijo.
El nombre de los ganadores se conocerá en una ceremonia que se llevará a cabo el próximo 19 de febrero en el Royal Festival Hall, en el centro de Southbank (Londres), que se emitirá por televisión en el Reino Unido a partir de las 19.00 GMT.
